Israeli authorities have arrested a 34-year-old ambulance driver on suspicion of gathering intelligence for Iran, including photographing sensitive sites and President Isaac Herzog during a hospital visit.

Investigators said the suspect allegedly used his access to medical facilities through his job to gather information and photograph sites of interest, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ynet.

Authorities also allege that he photographed Israeli President Isaac Herzog during the president's visit to a hospital in the northern city of Nahariya.

The investigation is ongoing.
