Lebanon’s Prosecutor General Ahmad Rami al-Hajj has ordered that Lebanese banker Antoun Sehnaoui be placed on a wanted list over alleged contact with Israel and violations of the country’s law on boycotting Israel.
The prosecutor’s statement said that the Information Bureau’s technical office conducted an analysis which confirmed that a photo circulating on social media showing Sehnaoui sitting at the same table as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was authentic, Caliber.Az reports, citing Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA).
The image had not been digitally edited or altered using artificial intelligence, according to the analysis.
Sehnaoui has been declared wanted for a period of 30 days. After that period expires, the case materials may be referred to a military court for consideration of issuing an arrest warrant.
