Romania has closed the Port of Constanța following a bomb threat, suspending all vessel traffic in the port's waters, according to broadcaster Digi24.


The outlet said all employees were evacuated from the port administration building.


Additional law enforcement officers have been deployed to the port, and specialists have begun searching the premises.


According to preliminary reports, suspicious luggage was found near the passenger terminal.


Earlier, news portal HotNews.ro reported that emergency services received a bomb threat targeting the passenger terminal at 11:30 a.m.
