China has expressed concern over what it described as the large-scale use of artificial intelligence by Japanese right-wing groups to distort the history of Japan's wartime aggression against China.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on July 29, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said Beijing was "gravely concerned" by reports that AI was being used to revise historical narratives, Caliber.Az reports per Chinese media

Mao said such actions constitute "a blatant provocation to international fairness and justice and the postwar international order."

She also called on the international community to remain vigilant and firmly reject any attempts to use artificial intelligence to distort historical facts.
