Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone call with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, during which Kallas urged Tehran to end its military support for Russia.
Beyond that issue, the two officials also discussed the latest regional and international developments, Caliber.Az reports.
Kallas stressed that the pause in hostilities in the Persian Gulf could provide mediators with an opportunity to revive diplomatic efforts and prevent a full-scale war.
She also reaffirmed the European Union's readiness to support initiatives aimed at reducing tensions, including following Araghchi's recent conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
