Russia has never isolated itself from the rest of the world and has no intention of doing so, while maintaining close ties with friendly countries remains of paramount importance, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
Speaking at a meeting with Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of Russia's Federation Council, Putin stressed the importance of maintaining contacts with friendly nations and their authorities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"Russia has never isolated itself from anyone and has no intention of doing so. Our contacts with friendly countries and the relevant authorities of those countries are extremely important," the Russian president noted.
