Türkiye has extradited 65 fugitives from eight countries who were wanted under international and national arrest warrants, the Interior Ministry has stated.
The ministry said 27 of those extradited were subject to Interpol Red Notices, while the remaining 38 were wanted under national warrants, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
The operations were carried out in Georgia, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Greece, and North Macedonia.
Of the extradited individuals, 51 were returned from Georgia, 7 from Germany, 2 from Belgium, and 1 each from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Greece, and North Macedonia.
The operations were coordinated by the Interpol-Europol Department of Türkiye's General Directorate of Security, in cooperation with the Justice Ministry and specialised units responsible for combating organised crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, terrorism, and intelligence.
