The town of Chekhov in Russia's Moscow region came under a drone attack overnight, with one of the UAVs striking a residential apartment building, regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov announced.


"During the night and morning, air defence forces repelled a UAV attack on the Moscow region. In Chekhov, a drone hit an apartment building on Zemskaya Street. All emergency and operational services are working at the scene. Information on possible casualties is being clarified.


Another UAV crashed, igniting tyres at an open storage site. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze.


In the village of Vaulovo, a private house caught fire. The fire has been contained, and no one was inside the house at the time.


In the Romashkino gardening association near the village of Dubna, drone debris damaged a country house. No injuries were reported there either.


At the same time, air defence forces destroyed several dozen drones over the districts of Domodedovo, Podolsk, Ramenskoye, and Kolomna," Vorobyov said.
