Authorities in the German city of Hemer have offered a €1,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of a stolen bronze statue of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, Die Zeit reports.


The report said police are continuing to search for witnesses and have urged residents to report any suspicious individuals or vehicles seen near the scene of the theft.


According to the newspaper, investigators have no concrete leads regarding the statue's whereabouts or the identities of those responsible.


The statue disappeared in late June, leaving only its pedestal behind.
