Personnel were evacuated from a sorting centre in Sarapul, in Russia's Udmurtia region, as a precaution during a large-scale drone attack, the press service of RWB, the joint venture operating Wildberries, told local media.
The company said the evacuation was carried out in accordance with safety protocols and added that updates would be provided once operations at the facility resume. According to the latest information, the Sarapul warehouse was not damaged in the attack.
Later, Wildberries announced that two of its logistics facilities in Udmurtia had suspended parts of their operations. A notice posted on the company's seller portal said the Sarapul warehouse and the Izhevsk sorting centre were temporarily not accepting deliveries.
Earlier, in the morning of July 27, authorities in Udmurtia issued a "Dangerous Sky" alert warning of a potential missile attack. Restrictions were imposed at Izhevsk Airport, while public transportation in the regional capital, Izhevsk, was temporarily suspended.
Udmurtia Governor Alexander Brechalov said Russian air defence systems were repelling what he described as "the most massive attack in recent times." He did not specify the intended targets of the assault.
