Yemen's Houthi movement said it had shot down a Turkish-made drone operated by Saudi Arabia, IRIB reports.
According to the Houthis, the unmanned aerial vehicle was a Bayraktar Akıncı drone.
The group claimed the drone had been carrying out "hostile activities" over Yemen's Al Jawf province at the time it was brought down.
The escalation came after Saudi airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport earlier this month, which aimed to halt humanitarian flights transporting patients and stranded civilians.
In retaliation, Yemeni forces launched ballistic missile and drone strikes on Saudi Arabia's Abha International Airport.
The Yemeni armed forces also announced a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia on July 20, saying the move was intended to bring an end to the 12-year Saudi-led blockade.
