Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Tehran is ready to assist in resolving the long-running conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, also known as the Houthis.
Araghchi made the statement in an interview with Akharin Khabar, stressing that there is no military solution to the war in Yemen or tensions surrounding the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
According to Araghchi, dialogue should proceed along several tracks simultaneously: between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, within Yemen itself, and with the participation of other countries in the region.
The minister rejected accusations that Iran is responsible for the current escalation. He noted that the roots of the crisis lie in long-standing disputes between Yemen, Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.
