A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck Iran's western province of Kermanshah on Monday, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).


The EMSC said the earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers. Its epicentre was located near the cities of Kahrez and Javanrud in western Iran, Caliber.Az reports.


There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage following the tremor, and local authorities had not issued any emergency updates at the time of reporting.
