U.S. strikes carried out the previous day in Iran's southern Hormozgan province reportedly damaged telecommunications infrastructure, putting 116 mobile phone towers out of service, according to the Hormozgan Provincial Communications Authority.


The affected facilities were located in the cities of Bandar Abbas and Hajji Abad, Iranian media reports


The damage has caused disruptions to mobile phone services and internet access in several northern districts of the province, officials said.
