BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. French companies
based in Azerbaijan firmly believe in the country's potential, the
French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sophie Lagoutte, said at an event
organized by the French Embassy in Baku to mark the national
holiday of the French Republic, Trend's correspondent reports from the event.
“They are investing for the long term and actively contributing
to the development of local human resources through targeted
scholarships and training programs, hoping to leave a lasting
positive legacy.
The impressive list of our sponsors for today’s event, to whom I
would like to express my sincere gratitude for their support,
demonstrates the importance of France’s economic presence in the
country across various sectors: not only in the food and wine
industries, as expected, but also in oil and gas, urban services,
the manufacture of security equipment, pharmaceuticals, and
transportation,” she said.
Lagoutte expressed confidence that the parties will be able to
achieve even better results in the coming years.
“The French-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry is
ready to deepen existing cooperation and develop new areas of
collaboration,” she added.
