A draft law titled “Strategic Action for the Security and Sustainable Progress of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf” has been submitted to Iran’s parliament.
According to Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, the bill was formally introduced on the evening of July 13.
Azizi said the move coincided with an announcement regarding the destruction of American drones.
“We remain steadfast in defending our red lines, particularly regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz. This is the first step; subsequent measures are forthcoming,” the parliamentary committee chairman said.
