Kazakhstan and Japan are discussing the possibility of establishing direct air links between the two countries.


Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee Chairperson, Saltanat Tompiyeva, held talks with a Japanese delegation that included Japanese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Yasumasa Iijima and representatives of the management of ANA Holdings, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakh media.


During the meeting, the parties reviewed the key issues required to launch direct flights between Kazakhstan and Japan.


The proposed air connection is expected to boost tourism, trade, investment cooperation, and business ties between the two countries.
