US President Donald Trump described late Senator Lindsey Graham, who died the previous day following a “brief and sudden illness,” as one of the greatest people and senators he had ever known.
“He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, adding: “So sad!”
The president said details about the farewell ceremony and funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
