On July 9, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Ankara, where the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments and the outcomes of the NATO Leaders' Summit.
Rama was in the Turkish capital to attend the NATO summit and was received by Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex, according to a statement from the Turkish Presidency.
During the meeting, Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to expanding cooperation with Albania, highlighting defence industry collaboration as a key area of partnership.
The Turkish president also said the NATO Leaders' Summit in Ankara had demonstrated the alliance's strength and unity.
Erdoğan additionally invited Rama to attend the COP31 Leaders' Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Antalya in November.
