Areg­naz Manukyan, a member of the opposition Mother Armenia party who was included on the electoral list of the Prosperous Armenia party in the June 7 parliamentary elections, has been detained as part of a case involving the disclosure of state secrets.


The Armenian Investigative Committee spokesperson, Kima Avdalyan, confirmed to Russian media.

Aregnaz Manukyan, an ally of the previously arrested leader of Mother Armenia, Andranik Tevanyan, has been detained, according to Armenian media.


Manukyan, who previously stood as a parliamentary candidate for the Prosperous Armenia, was detained, the reports said.


The Investigative Committee of Armenia said it would submit a request to the court seeking her pre-trial detention.


In a post on social media, Manukyan shared a video showing law enforcement officers arriving at her home.
