Azerbaijan and Jordan have signed two bilateral agreements aimed at deepening cooperation in travel and energy, including a visa-free regime for holders of ordinary passports.
The agreements were signed by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a post on X, Caliber.Az reports.
The signed documents include:
“Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on mutual exemption of the visa requirement for holders of ordinary passports;”
“Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on cooperation in the field of energy.”
According to the ministry, the agreements will facilitate people-to-people contacts and contribute to expanding tourism, business, economic, energy and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
