Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev, said innovation and the future development of artificial intelligence, start-ups and sustainable economies would depend on international partnerships rather than individual countries, speaking at the INMerge Berlin 2026 Summit.
According to local media, Aghayev addressed the summit on innovation, cooperation and connectivity and later outlined his remarks in a post on X.
He said innovation was about more than technology, describing it as the courage to challenge established assumptions, the vision to identify opportunities amid uncertainty and the determination to build bridges across borders.
The ambassador said the future of AI, startups, and resilient economies will not be shaped by one country or one ecosystem alone. It will be built through partnerships that connect talent, ideas, and ambition.
"Azerbaijan is proud to be part of this journey - linking Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia to create new opportunities for innovation and shared prosperity," he said.
The INMerge Berlin 2026 Summit brings together investors, innovators and founders to strengthen links between innovation ecosystems across Europe, Azerbaijan, the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East.
