From June 29 to July 2, comprehensive tactical and drill exercises are being conducted across military units and institutions of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan to bring troops to the highest levels of combat readiness.

According to the country’s Ministry of Defence, the activities are aimed at improving the practical skills of personnel and units in performing tasks related to transitioning to heightened readiness conditions.

The ministry stressed that the exercises are of a planned training nature and are being carried out mainly within military bases and training ranges.

Some units will also conduct planned marches to training grounds and educational centres. Due to the movement of military equipment on certain roads, temporary traffic restrictions may be introduced in some regions.
