Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has detained lawmaker Sergei Kuzminykh, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party.
The bureau had not publicly identified the detained individual, but sources confirmed that the person was Kuzminykh, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
The lawmaker was reportedly detained in connection with a case involving allegations that he accepted a bribe of 558,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (around $12,000).
The detention was linked to Kuzminykh’s repeated failure to appear at court hearings in the ongoing case.
