China is set to launch its first fully robot-operated hotel in 2027.
According to New Atlas, the facility will be located on the West Artificial Island, built as part of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link project in Guangdong Province.
Pudu Robotics announced that all hospitality functions—from guest check-in and food delivery to room cleaning and luggage transport—will be handled entirely by robots.
A trial launch is scheduled for late 2026, when a selection of rooms and services will be opened to the public. The pilot phase will include robot receptionists and autonomous food delivery to guest rooms.
Among the robotic staff will be:
FlashBot, which manages the hotel’s intelligent vending system;
PUDU T300, responsible for transporting luggage from the lobby to guest rooms;
PUDU CC1 Pro and PUDU MT1, which use artificial intelligence to detect and remove waste.
The hotel will feature 44 premium rooms, a restaurant, a gym, and other facilities. All operations will be integrated into a single intelligent service ecosystem, with every aspect of the guest experience managed through Pudu Robotics’ hardware and software platform.
