Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said the country must strengthen its energy independence and preserve its military neutrality while outlining Serbia’s long-term development priorities during a rally of his supporters in Belgrade, TASS reports.

“We must develop as quickly as possible. Starting in August, we will begin producing robots in Serbia. We must open data centers, ensure the security of our energy system, gas-fired power plants, hydroelectric facilities, as well as small and large nuclear power plants, because electricity will become the most important resource.

We cannot simply wait for another day to pass; we must preserve our military neutrality at all costs. We want to protect our own airspace, not rely on some foreign army. That is priceless because it is freedom,” the president stated.
