Special forces from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye have concluded the joint tactical exercise "Caucasus Eagle – 2026" at the Mukhrovani military base near Tbilisi, according to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence.


Senior military officials from the three participating countries attended the closing ceremony, where they congratulated the troops on the successful completion of the drills and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation among their special forces, Caliber.Az reports.



The officials said the exercise contributes to strengthening regional security and defence cooperation while enhancing the combat readiness and interoperability of the participating units.


During the drills, special forces carried out a range of combat training scenarios, including assaulting a simulated target, clearing buildings in small teams, conducting engineering and explosive ordnance operations, parachuting from helicopters, and neutralising a simulated enemy.


Military officers from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye observed the exercises and praised the performance of the participating special forces units, the ministry said.
