Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is set to appoint 26-year-old Melanya Harutyunyan as his new press secretary.
Harutyunyan currently serves as secretary of the youth wing of the ruling Civil Contract party and accompanied the prime minister throughout his election campaign, joining him on trips and at meetings with voters, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Harutyunyan will replace the current press secretary, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, who is expected to take up a parliamentary mandate.
Baghdasaryan has served in the role for almost four years. She previously served as a member of parliament and later as governor of Armenia’s Shirak Province.
