Armenia and the United Arab Emirates will provide preferential access to their markets for companies operating in a range of sectors under a new agreement approved by the Armenian government.

The agreement will now be submitted to the National Assembly for ratification, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Under the deal, Armenia will grant simplified market access to UAE companies in the fields of agriculture, engineering, healthcare and education.

In return, the UAE will offer preferential treatment to Armenian companies operating in information technology, telecommunications, equipment maintenance, as well as legal, auditing and construction services.
