Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 269 Ukrainian drones overnight in what Moscow described as a large-scale aerial attack spanning multiple regions of the country, the Defence Ministry said on June 25.
According to the ministry, the drones were shot down between 20:00 Moscow time on June 24 and 07:00 Moscow time on June 25 by on-duty air defence units.
The intercepted drones were reported over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Saratov, Smolensk, Rostov and Tula regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai, the Moscow region, the Russian-controlled Crimean Peninsula and the Black Sea.
