Azerbaijan and Jordan have discussed prospects for expanding energy cooperation, focusing on energy production, exports and supplies in both countries, as well as opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas sector and renewable energy.
The sides — Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Mazen Turki Saud Al-Qadi, Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom — noted that Azerbaijani-Jordanian relations, based on friendship and high-level political dialogue, provide a solid foundation for developing cooperation in the energy sector, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
During the meeting, they highlighted the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding between the relevant authorities and establishing a working group to identify promising areas for future cooperation.
The sides additionally exchanged views on developments in global energy markets.
