Turkish security forces have killed an Islamic State (IS) militant accused of using social media to incite violence ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7-8, NTV television reported.
According to the broadcaster, police raided a house on June 23 as part of an anti-terrorism operation carried out in the run-up to the summit.
The suspect resisted the security forces during the raid and was wounded, NTV said. He was taken to the hospital but later died while attempting to escape.
The militant’s wife was also wounded during the operation, according to the report.
