A total of 114 people sought medical treatment after falling ill from food served at a school event in Türkiye’s Kütahya province.
The incident occurred at the Şule Mete Tetik Imam Hatip Secondary School in the Meydan district, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Students and guests attending a school event were served chicken pilaf. After the meal, many began feeling unwell and either made their own way or were transported by ambulance to Kütahya City Hospital and other medical facilities.
Medical examinations showed that 114 people were admitted with suspected food poisoning, including 96 students and 18 adults.
Of those receiving treatment, 113 have been discharged, while one person remains under observation as medical examinations continue.
