The question of the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their historical lands is being addressed through legal and diplomatic channels and has been reflected in documents circulated at international organisations, according to parliament member Rizvan Nabiyev.

Speaking to reporters at an event titled “Return to Western Azerbaijan: Restoring Historical Justice and Human Rights," Nabiyev said the issue has long been framed primarily in humanitarian terms but is now increasingly being pursued through international legal and institutional mechanisms, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

He noted that relevant documents have been submitted to bodies including the United Nations Security Council and the UN General Assembly, and that related resolutions and statements have also been adopted within frameworks such as parliamentary diplomacy, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international platforms.
