Chairman of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that security in the region should be guaranteed by the countries of the region themselves.

Speaking at the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States in Baku, Ghalibaf described regional self-reliance in security matters as a core objective of Iran’s policy, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

“No country can secure its own safety by undermining the security of others. The economy and development of the region must serve the well-being of all peoples,” he added.
