Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Tofig Musaev, has signed the symbolic UN80 Charter, reaffirming the country's commitment to the principles and objectives of the United Nations.
According to Azerbaijan's mission to the UN, the signing underscores Azerbaijan's continued support for the goals and principles of the UN Charter, as well as its commitment to effective multilateralism and international cooperation in addressing global challenges, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The UN80 initiative was launched by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to mark the organisation's 80th anniversary. The project aims to strengthen the UN's ability to respond to contemporary global issues and promote reforms designed to enhance the effectiveness of the international body.
