Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have discussed plans to deepen cooperation between their customs authorities, according to officials.


A meeting was held at the State Customs Committee with the Chairman of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan, Maksat Hudaýkulyýew.


The committee said both sides acknowledged the current level of cooperation between the two countries’ customs services and emphasised the importance of further expanding ties.


Discussions focused on exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation in several areas, including information technology, customs statistics, risk management, and the organisation of customs operations at seaports.
