Iran and the United States discussed the removal of restrictions on Iranian oil exports during talks in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, with Tehran expecting an official announcement to be published soon by the US Department of the Treasury, Tasnim News Agency reports.

The source said the negotiations in Switzerland also covered the unfreezing of Iranian assets, as well as the issuance of permits for the sale of Iranian oil, petrochemical products, and related derivatives. An official notification regarding such authorizations is expected to appear on the US Treasury Department’s website.

Earlier, the main round of Iran–US talks on the implementation of a memorandum, with the participation of mediators from Pakistan and Qatar, concluded in Bürgenstock. The parties agreed to continue consultations at expert level, which are expected to begin on June 22. The focus of the upcoming discussions will be the establishment of mechanisms to implement the Iran–US memorandum.
