The first customers of the newly released Volga K40 crossover were unable to take delivery of their vehicle after it reportedly developed a technical malfunction at the dealership.

According to the Telegram channel Ni Mash, a couple from Moscow became the first buyers of the domestic model, completing payment procedures, including a down payment and car loan approval, before a ceremonial handover of the vehicle.

Following the formal delivery process, the couple initially drove the car out of the dealership but later returned it, reportedly for additional paperwork. However, after finalising the documentation, dealership staff informed the buyers that the vehicle could not be handed over due to technical issues.

The buyers were told that the problem would need to be resolved before the car could be delivered, with a new estimated handover date set for next week, pending successful repairs.
