At least seven people were killed and more than 40 injured following an ammonia leak at a seafood processing plant in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, The Times of India reports.
A total of 120 people were on the premises at the time of the incident.
Dozens of workers were rushed to hospital suffering from symptoms of poisoning and breathing difficulties after the toxic gas leak.
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident has been launched. Rescue operations are still ongoing at the site.
