A major fire has erupted at an aerosol manufacturing facility in Charnowo in Poland’s Pomeranian Voivodeship, according to Polish media.
A thick column of black smoke was visible from several kilometers away after the blaze broke out shortly before 13:00 local time.
Firefighters were dispatched to the site, while employees and nearby residents within a 200-meter radius were evacuated as a precaution.
Fire services warned of a potential risk of explosions involving pressurized containers and stored products. Additional emergency units from Słupsk county have been deployed to support firefighting efforts.
Authorities in the Ustka municipality urged residents to stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed, and turn off ventilation systems due to possible hazardous substances in the air.
