The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of two Hamas members in a targeted strike in the Gaza Strip.
According to a military statement, the operation killed Hussein Qadra and Mohammed Farra, who were linked to the military wings of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movement. The IDF said both individuals were involved in a financial network responsible for transferring funds into Gaza.
“Qadra, who headed the network, together with Farra and other operatives, acted under the direction of Hamas leadership and facilitated the transfer of more than half a billion NIS to Hamas’ military wing by operating a network of dozens of couriers and money exchangers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip,” the statement read.
The funds were used to pay salaries to militants and finance attacks against Israeli forces and civilians, in violation of the ceasefire agreement, the army added.
