Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have instructed the military to halt its strikes on Lebanon, according to Israeli broadcaster N12.

The report said the decision to suspend the attacks was made following consultations with the United States.

N12 also reported that Israel’s leadership has ordered the IDF to continue holding the so-called “yellow line” — an informal buffer zone in southern Lebanon — and that Israeli troops will not withdraw from the area for the time being.
