An Iranian delegation has arrived in Switzerland to participate in technical talks with the United States scheduled for June 21.

According to Fars News, the delegation traveled aboard an aircraft bearing the inscription “Minab-168,” commemorating the 168 children who were killed in a US strike on a school in the city of Minab.

Switzerland’s Foreign Ministry welcomed the delegation and said the meeting in Bürgenstock is being held as part of the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran.

The Iranian delegation includes Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Bagheri, Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, as well as representatives from the energy sector and diplomatic corps. The US delegation will be led by Vice President JD Vance.

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, the meeting is intended to monitor the implementation of US commitments. He added that a previously planned meeting on June 19 was canceled because the memorandum was signed remotely.
