Russia repelled an attempted drone strike on an oil refinery in Tyumen region, according to regional authorities.

Tyumen Region Governor Alexander Moor said the incident occurred after Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles attempted to strike the facility, Caliber.Az reports.

According to Moor, the attack was successfully prevented and emergency response teams were deployed to the site where debris from the drones allegedly fell.

“Emergency response specialists are working at the crash site,” he said.

Local authorities had earlier issued a drone threat alert across the Tyumen region, warning residents of potential aerial risks.
