In Türkiye, a fugitive convicted prisoner wanted on an Interpol Red Notice for 13 years has been arrested in Bursa’s Osmangazi district.
The Provincial Police Department’s Public Order Branch launched an operation to detain S.B. (46), who had a finalised 12-year-and-3-month prison sentence for “trafficking narcotic and psychotropic substances”, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Authorities conducted a month-long investigation, including field surveillance and CCTV analysis, to track the suspect.
Police determined that the convict was staying in unregistered accommodation in Küçükbalıklı neighbourhood, where he was apprehended during a targeted operation.
S.B. was subsequently transferred to prison after procedures at the police station were completed.
