Sales of foldable smartphones in Russia increased by 30% in unit terms and by 10% in value during January–May 2026 compared to the same period last year.


According to data provided to Gazeta.Ru by MTS, Russian consumers purchased a record 42,000 foldable devices during the first five months of the year, with total sales reaching 3.9 billion roubles.


The company noted that sales of foldable smartphones have grown by more than 50% over the past two years. Compared with January–May 2024, demand for devices in this category increased by more than half in terms of units sold.


The segment’s growing popularity has been driven by a broader range of available models and the introduction of more affordable devices. As a result, the average price of a foldable smartphone fell by 16% to 92,600 roubles.


The best-selling model by units sold was the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Xiaomi MIX Flip.


In terms of revenue, the leading models were the Huawei Mate X6, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
