Armenia’s Constitutional Court has received seven applications seeking the annulment or revision of the results of the parliamentary elections.
Seven political forces that participated in the elections have formally submitted appeals calling for either the cancellation or review of the vote outcomes, the court said.
Among the applicants are the parties Prosperous Armenia, Wings of Unity, Democratic party, Law, Discipline, and New Force, as well as the blocs For the Republic and Armenia. The Strong Armenia bloc has requested either the annulment of the results or the holding of a second round of voting.
Under Armenian law, the Constitutional Court is required to decide within two days whether to accept the petitions for consideration. If the cases are accepted, they will be assigned to rapporteur judges, and the proceedings will be conducted orally. The review process is expected to last no more than 15 days.
