Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has urged the public not to focus on every statement made by U.S. President Donald Trump, saying his communication style often leads to unnecessary reactions.

Speaking during her daily press conference, which was broadcast on her YouTube channel, Sheinbaum emphasised that Trump’s remarks should be viewed in context rather than treated as definitive assessments of Mexico’s situation.

“Trump has his own way of communicating, there is no need to pay attention to every statement. […] The people of Mexico know that every day we give our all, we put our heart and soul into everything we do for the people of Mexico,” the head of state said.

Sheinbaum added that Trump is “not very well informed” about the situation in Mexico and the measures taken by the government to counter criminal groups.
