The source said the aircraft departed from Cluj-Napoca airport in northwestern Romania before heading toward the border area, where it continues to patrol.
The P.68 type is typically used for light transport and training missions, but in its twin-engine configuration, it can also be adapted for reconnaissance purposes.
The source noted that such flight activity by this aircraft type has not previously been recorded along this section of the border.
However, earlier surveillance flights by other reconnaissance aircraft have been observed in nearby areas, including over the Black Sea region.
